Origin

Lentils were domesticated in India, which still has the most varieties of lentils. They spread to China in the east and France in the west.

Basic Brown Lentils

Cooked lentils keep in refrigerator up to 1 week.

MAIN

  • 1-2 cups soaked lentils
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Soak dry lentils 1h in sufficient water to cover. Strain and rinse. Cook in rice cooker with 1 cup water until water evaporates.
