Apple Porridge

Kid friendly with addition of apple. Blending hides the apple.


  • chopped apple
  • raisins
  • cinnamon
  • fresh or frozen berries
  • choppe mango
  • chopped banana


  • 1 apple
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups water

Add 2 cups rolled oats to small sauce pan. Core and chop apple and blend with 2 cup water. Add to oats in sauce pan. Simmer covered low heat 5-10m, check and stir ocassionally, until all liquid absorbed. Turn off heat and allow rest 5m.


  • Blend apple with 1st cup water, rinse blender with 2nd cup water.
  • Use non-stick sauce pan.
